UTICA, NY Eli Freeman, 89 of Utica, NY, the father of Jody Fixler, well known Utica jeweler, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in a small town in Poland on December 12, 1919, Eli was the son of the late Morris and Leah Freeman. He came to Utica at a young age and joined his father in the jewelry business known as Freeman's Jewelers.
Eli was in the jewelry business for 65 years and loved helping his customers. The loyalty of his customers reflected many generations. Eli felt that his customers were part of his family and enjoyed sharing their special occasions.
