BUDAPEST. DECEMBER 20. INTERFAX CENTRAL EUROPE - Hungarian state railways MAV expects to become profitable in 2008, thanks to a one-off item coming from the sale of MAV's cargo subsidiary MAV Cargo in early 2008, CEO Istvan Heinczinger told a press conference on Thursday.

"Thanks to the sale of MAV Cargo, our consolidated balance will be positive in 2008," Heinczinger said.
