It often helps to look at the past year and see how it went. Often, for those of us who work in or write about the financial services industry, it is a case of same old, same old.
For once, it is probably fair to say that many of the stories that affected the financial services industry also had a much wider impact and may have terminally dented the Government's long-term political credibility.
