Compared to the hundreds of vocal competitions worldwide, some going back many decades, the biennial Montreal International Music Competition (Voice) is a relative newcomer. But it has already earned a reputation as one of the best in terms of the caliber of jurors and contestants, the amount of prize money--$90,000 this year--and organizational efficiency.
