WILMINGTON, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 29, 1995--Zeneca Inc. announced today that Zeneca Pharmaceuticals has filed a New Drug Application (NDA) with the Food and Drug Administration for ACCOLATE(R) (zafirlukast) tablets.
ACCOLATE is an oral leukotriene receptor antagonist that has been studied for the treatment of asthma.
ACCOLATE is one of the first in a new class of asthma medications that control asthma by selectively blocking the effect of leukotrienes, substances that cause bronchoconstriction, inflammation, edema, and mucus secretion in the lungs.
