"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" is such a triumphant success that the words of warning for the squeamish have to be put up front. This is a horror musical, and just because there's lots of singing doesn't mean that the blood doesn't spurt and flow. As with the original Broadway show, the film of "Sweeney Todd" demands to be taken on its own terms, or not at all.
