ETOBICOKE, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 1995--Miami-based Burger King Corp. Monday announced that it has negotiated the termination of a license agreement which granted exclusive rights to use the Burger King(r) trade name in an area surrounding the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada.

This is the only area in North America where Burger King Corp. had granted a third party the exclusive right to use the Burger King(r) trade name.

The exclusive license had been granted to William R. Jarvis and James D. Rae to settle an earlier dispute over ownership of the trade name in Canada. While the pair had the right to use the trademark name, they did not have a ...
