GLENDALE, Calif., July 17 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a recent national survey of auto consumers, car buyers are much more loyal to particular vehicle makes than they are to car dealerships.

Seventy-nine percent (79%) of respondents said they were more loyal to a certain make of vehicle than a dealership. Only 13.5 percent of those asked said they were more loyal to a certain dealership than a vehicle make.

The telephone study, which was conducted by The Dohring Company, Inc. of Glendale, Calif., polled 1,253 automobile consumers from all 50 states. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent.
