The number of complaints against SA nurses has increased according to a recent report from the South Australian Nurses Board.
The annual report indicates an extra 52 nurses and midwives, particularly in the acute and aged care sectors, were reported for unprofessional conduct compared to previous years.
SA ANF Secretary Lee Thomas said there were possibly a number of reasons for the increase.
"I think it is really hard to know why there has been this increase in Nurses' Board investigations," she said. "One reason could be that it reflects a profession under pressure.
"Some of the other reasons may also be better reporting mechanisms and I think our community ...
