A multilayer composite that is claimed to prevent the loss of material arranged between the layers is disclosed in US Patent 7 271 113 by Fiberweb Corovin. The material may be used in a hygiene article to absorb fluid. According to the company of Peine,Germany, the multilayer product (1) comprises:
* at least one first layer (2);
* an absorbent intermediate layer (3); and
* a second layer (4).
The first layer and/or the second layer is at least partially liquid permeable.
