Fat cats, dumpy dogs and other porky pets are the target in 2008 after the RSPCA revealed 65 per cent of pets in Yorkshire are overweight.
While thousands resolve to reduce bulging waistlines in the new year, pet owners across the region are urged to consider their fat furry friends.
RSPCA advisers are now urging owners of overweight animals to put their pets on a diet, saying that Yorkshire folk are "too kind" with their pets.
