Yesterday was Rosh Hashanah.
Mom, Dad, Nate, and I wore fancy clothes to synagogue. I put on my shiny, black shoes all by myself. I wore my best dress. Nate wore a suit. When Mom told him he looked handsome, Nate stuck his chest out. I twirled in my dress. Mom said I looked pretty.
I'm still too little to go to the prayer services. But I can play in another room with my friends. Sara and I made shaving-cream pictures. They smelled good.
"We'd better hurry," Mom said after the prayer services were over. "The Havurah group will beat us home."
"Will Sara come?" I asked.
"Yes. So will Joey and a few other kids," said Mom.
