A VIOLENT passenger who attacked a South Yorkshire taxi driver is being hunted by police.
The 51-year-old cabbie had picked up the man in Doncaster town centre and took him to Swinton before the man claimed to have lost his house keys.
He asked the taxi driver to take him back to Doncaster but during the return journey, near the junction of York Road and Barnsley Road, he became aggressive, assaulting the driver and causing substantial damage to the cab.
He kicked the screen next to the driver and broke it before running off towards the town centre.
He was last seen on CCTV heading through Doncaster's transport interchange tunnel.
