IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Cortex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CORX) today announced that analysis of psychometric data from a Phase I study of CX516 (AMPALEX(TM)) in healthy young volunteers revealed apparent positive effects on memory performance. The results provide the first suggestion of the types of effects that can be expected from positive modulation of AMPA receptor function in the human brain.
