AN East Antrim MLA has vowed to fight any move to introduce a local income tax in Northern Ireland.
Roy Beggs Jnr (pictured) said the additional tax burden would put people off seeking work.
The Ulster Unionist Assemblyman was speaking at the end of a Stormont review of rating reform. The current system was subject to a major change under direct rule, when a re-evaluation of property was completed and charges based on the capital value - not the notional rental value - of properties were introduced.
