The phone is ringing off the hook at NextStep Recycling with people who want to get rid of the block foam their Christmas gifts came packed in.
Executive Director Lorraine Kerwood doesn't want to be all bah-humbug about this, but the fact is that her nonprofit agency will have to charge a small fee to take the lightweight packing material off people's hands.
Kerwood knows it's a disappointment to those who remember the two-week window last year when NextStep took polystyrene free of charge.
