The tools and methods we use to communicate keep changing. Cell phones keep shrinking for easier transport, text messaging allows friends to chat instantly and Internet devices allow users to send e-mails and pay bills from just about anywhere. The new gagdets send the old ones to their final resting place, in the bottom of a drawer or the back of a closet.
One of the dinosaurs of the communication world - the landline telephone - still has some footing. While it hasn't completely disappeared, does the landline have any stronghold or future in this wireless, portable generation?
