BRADENTON, Fla. -- Orlando hopes the New Year will provide a better market for it to kick off bond sales for construction of a new, $480 million community events center and professional sports arena.
The offerings will be the first major financing in the central Florida citys ambitious $1 billion plan to build and renovate three cultural and entertainment venues.
Primary tenants of the Orlando Events Center will be the National Basketball Associations Orlando Magic and the Arena Football Leagues Orlando Predators.
