TUCSON, Ariz. -- Research Corporation Technologies (RCT) has granted Biosound Esaote Inc. a nonexclusive license to pioneering patents owned by RCT that broadly cover ultrasound tissue harmonic imaging (THI).

Biosound Esaote in Indianapolis, Ind., is a major medical imaging company that specializes in high-performance ultrasound systems. Founded in 1979 as Biodynamics by Indianapolis-based Boehringer Mannheim, the company was the first to market a vascular ultrasound system.
