KEENE - Canadian Murray Levine trained for Nordic ski races in the Rockies and the Laurentian mountains. Now he is spreading the word about a rustic destination closer to the Capital Region.
Levine, 57, is the president of Keene Farm, a nonprofit owned by the Alpine Club of Canada. It is a 105-acre property in the High Peaks community of Keene, Essex County, about 125 miles north of Albany. The cabin on the land is well-used by Canadians, Levine said, but relatively unknown to Americans.
