THE parents of Sabrina Gemmell said they thought ordering parents to pay compensation could be an effective tool in these cases.

Her father, James Gemmell, 52, said: "I was angry with Sabrina when we found out what had happened.

"I accept that I have to pay [pounds sterling]200 and I think it could be a good way of getting parents to control their children."
