THE parents of Sabrina Gemmell said they thought ordering parents to pay compensation could be an effective tool in these cases.
Her father, James Gemmell, 52, said: "I was angry with Sabrina when we found out what had happened.
"I accept that I have to pay [pounds sterling]200 and I think it could be a good way of getting parents to control their children."
Mum Bernadine Gemmell, 48, said that although neither of them work, they will find the [pounds sterling]200 and Sabrina, 16, will pay it back to them.
