FURIOUS Burnley manager Owen Coyle launched a bitter attack on referee Lee Mason after Preston climbed off the bottom of the Coca-Cola Championship table with a hugely controversial 3-2 win at Turf Moor.
Coyle saw his side reduced to nine men in the second half after Chris McCann and Joey Gudjonsson were shown straight red cards for challenges on Sean St Ledger and Neil Mellor respectively.
But the Bolton official failed to award Burnley a penalty in the second minute when North End defender Matt Hill looked to have clearly handled the ball on the line to prevent a certain goal.
