RESIDENTS and businesses are being urged to take steps to avoid falling victim to identity fraud.
Figures released this week showed 79 per cent of households countrywide still throw away documents containing personal information including bank details which criminals can use to defraud victims.
As part of National Identity Fraud Prevention Week, county police are reminding people not to give out their personal information.
