SUNDAY'S Bridge Street Advent Fayre was the most successful yet in its three year history.
The excellent weather experienced at the weekend was somewhat different to last year when it was blowing a gale and the rain was horizontal.
This year however, literally thousands of people packed onto Bridge Street between 11am and 4pm to join in the fun. At 11am the Mayor, Coun Lance Robson, opened the fayre, escorted in by the sound of the piper's bagpipes.
From then on it was good-natured, cheerful chaos as Bridge Street accommodated large numbers of shoppers, stallholders and entertainment.
