DRIGHLINGTON under 14s and supporters were singing in the rain after they produced a storming comeback to beat Shaw Cross.
A game of two halves was never a more accurate description than it was for this game. Tolson began it well for Drig when breaking the line and running 60 yards to score, but Shaw Cross bossed the rest of the half to score 26 points and open up a big lead at the break. Drig did score when Scargill went over from a wonderful offload by Tolson, but at 26-10 down at half-time victory did not look a possibility for the home side.
They improved their tackling in the second half, however, and were back in it when Tolson scored again then ...
