TWO local community groups have been denied funding for Christmas activities and presents because it would set a "dangerous precedent" for Antrim Borough Council.
At last week's Development and Leisure Committee meeting, members decided against providing funding for Steeple Community Group's first ever Christmas light switch on because it has not been done for any community group in the past.
"There has been no resources set aside for this," Committee Chairman, Councillor Stephen Nicholl said during discussions adding: "but it is entirely up to members as to how we proceed."
