International bowler Joyce Dickey has her sights set on bringing back a medal to Hawick after jetting out to the World Championships in New Zealand earlier this week.
Fitter than ever following a three-month training regime which has helped her prepare for the tournament Joyce told the Hawick News ahead of her trip to Christchurch: "I was given a real boost with my training when staff at the leisure centre offered to help me. Over the last few months I have been training three days each week and I am certainly feeling the benefits.
"But I knew I would need to be fit ahead of the tournament to ensure I could be at the top of my game."
