FROM Dronfield to the deserts of the Sahara - businessman Dave Keeley is planning an odyssey of more than 3,000 miles behind the wheel of a right old banger.
Dave, aged 55, from Hallowes Lane, Dronfield, sets off next week on his first cross-continental rally, all the way to Banjul, the capital of the Gambia in West Africa.
The rally is an unofficial alternative to the expensive Paris to Dakar classic.
Competitors aren't encouraged to drive the latest example of sleek four wheel drive technology - all the vehicles are supposed to have cost just [pounds sterling]100 or less.
