IN the eyes of Volkswagen, blue is the new green. Blue Motion is the label the German manufacturer is using to identify the most fuel-efficient model in each of its passenger car ranges.
And first up for the treatment is the Polo, which made its UK debut earlier this year at the Sexy Green Car Show.
Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much from the BlueMotion. I expected its amazing fuel consumption figure of an average 74.3 miles per gallon to result in tepid performance and a sedate driving experience.
