THE future of Carluke's state-of-the-art health centre is in doubt following the decision to save Accident and Emergency at Monklands Hospital.
NHS Lanarkshire admitted plans to build the new health centre are on hold until early next year when the review of emergency services in Lanarkshire is to take place.
Following the decision to save A & E at Monklands in Airdrie by Health Minister Nicola Sturgeon, the health board admitted the planned casualty unit in Lanark was in doubt but insisted the new Carluke Health Centre would go ahead.
