NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The long-awaited trial to decide the fate of the $1.5 billion Genesco-Finish Line merger got under way last week.

Opening statements from Genesco Inc., Finish Line Inc. and UBS AG began last Monday here in Davidson County Chancery Court. Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle presided over a full courtroom during the first four days of the proceedings as lawyers from the three sides presented evidence. The trial is expected to last about a week.
