CLINTON - Nestle Waters of North America thinks the glass is more than half full concerning the Wekepeke Reservoir in Sterling.
Extensive hydrogeological testing has shown the water at the site, which is owned by Clinton, is of a consistently high quality and would be very suitable for Nestle's bottling operations.
"The spring basin is what really peaked our interest," Jay Billings of Northeast Geoscience told selectmen Wednesday night. Billings and his colleagues have been conducting testing at the site for Nestle. He said testing showed the ground water Nestle would be drawing for its bottles is spring water.
