Hold those Tigers?
No problem for maybe six minutes, which Ohio State managed in Monday night's Bowl Championship Series national title game. But Louisiana State is a team well-stocked with 60-minute (or more) men, and it paid handsomely for the Tigers.
After spotting No. 1 Ohio State 10 early points, No. 2 LSU quickly resurrected its backyard mission and blistered the Buckeyes 38-24, securing the Southeastern Conference school's third national championship before a Louisiana Superdome record crowd of 79,651.
