Sterlite Technologies bags Rs 140 cr contact from RVPN *
Mumbai, Jan 8 (PTI) Global provider of optical fibers Sterlite Technologies Ltd today said it has secured a contract worth Rs 140 crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RVPN). Under the contract, the company would manufacture and supply Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) power transmission conductors to RVPN, Sterlite Technologies said in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
ACSR conductors composed of multiple layers of aluminum wire, have a lightweight structure and are suitable to be used as transmission and distribution cables.
