When it comes to managing Idaho's $600 million of tax revenues in the Idle Pooled Fund, Liza C. Carberry takes no chances. Not when she is the primary person responsible for protecting taxpayer money to make school payments and other state outlays.

Indeed, her conservative investment nature has led her to seek a risk evaluation from an outside firm.

Carberry, the pool's Morocco-born, U.S.-educated investment manager, follows the conservative policies of the Idaho investment code and the written investment guidelines of an outside advisory counsel comprised of representatives of Boise banks, insurance companies, brokerage firms, and the Boise city treasurer.
