Kayla Rauschert finished with 11 kills and 15 digs and Lindsey Vaughn added 30 assists to lead host Junction City to a 25-12, 25-19, 25-18 prep volleyball victory over North Valley in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs on Wednesday.
The Tigers will travel to Astoria to meet the Fishermen on Saturday for a berth in the state tournament.
Jessica Rause slammed 14 kills, Rachel Barnhart contributed 22 digs and Liz Thompson added 38 assists to lead Cascade over host South Umpqua 25-20, 26-24, 18-25, 27-25. The Cougars will travel to Central on Saturday for a second-round match.
