Sci-fi/noir classic will show this week at Bijou

Yet another version of Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi noir thriller "Blade Runner," returns to the big screen this weekend.

"Blade Runner: The Final Cut" includes extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects, but Time Out magazine says the new version adds nothing ground-breaking.

"Like the best revisions, it actually strips things down," reviewer Joshua Rothkopf wrote. "Gone are some fakey wires and awkward stunt-double shots. As with the 1992 director's cut, there's no narration or happy ending."
