The Big East Conference began play last week, and road teams took a beating.

The road team won just three out of 14 conference games played through Sunday. The 3-11 record is good for a .214 winning percentage.

Compare that to last season when road teams went 44-88 (.343 percentage) in the Big East.

The only teams to win on the road in the opening week of the Big East were favorite Georgetown at doormat Rutgers; Connecticut, which rallied to win at Seton Hall; and Cincinnati, which won at Louisville.
