To better examine the emotional and psychological effects of eczema on patients' daily lives, a panel of health professionals and patient advocates formed the Life Improvement For Eczema (LIFE) committee. The committee spearheaded the development of the Eczema Assessment Tool, a worksheet designed to more accurately measure the quality-of-life impact of eczema and to substantially improve the communication between patients with eczema and their health care providers.
