AIDS in Botswana.(Letters)(Letter to the editor)

With a population of fewer than 2 million, HIV/AIDS is killing thousands of people every year. This causes concern for a lot of people. HIV/AIDS was first reported in Botswana in 1985 and since then has increased. Approximately 270,000 people were diagnosed with the virus in 2005.

Many concerns have been rising as to why this virus is increasing. The worst problems that have arisen are prostitution and rape cases. With rape cases many victims are left with the scar of having HIV/AIDS and left with children they will not be able to take care of.
