THE Golden Emu Oil Sleaford Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, February 24 at RAF Cranwell.

This popular event returned to the running calendar in 2004 and is now the third largest race in Lincolnshire.

It is used by many runners as a training run to prepare for the most famous race in the world, the London Marathon, and entries have already been received from runners from all over the UK and Ireland.

The course starts at RAF College Cranwell and heads out towards Ermine Street, with one fairly steep hill, before returning to Cranwell on undulating roads.
