The board of Sprint Nextel, which was apparently unhappy with the unimpressive financial performance of the company, has asked chairman and CEO Gary Forsee to submit his resignation. Forsee, who engineered the company's somewhat troubled acquisition of Nextel in August 2005, has been under a lot of pressure.
