The Computer Industry Almanac lists the countries with the most computers at year-end 1994 as shown below. It's primarily the largest industrialized countries that make up this list. USA is the clear leader and has nearly six times as many computers as Japan and seven times as many computers as Germany. Even when compared to all of Europe the U.S. has nearly twice as many computers in use. 22 countries have over one million computers in use.
