It could be "game over" for some school mascots. Lawmakers in Oregon are considering a proposal to ban Native American mascots from schools. The rule would affect schools with team names such as Warriors, Indians, and Braves.
Some people say the mascots create stereotypes. A stereotype is an idea that all members of a group are alike. Others say the mascots honor Native Americans. WR News' student reporters Christina Grillo and Andrew Steinkoenig each took a side.
