AIMEE COX, one of Lancashire's most talented young golfers, has been honoured by her local golfing association.
The teenager, who began playing golf at Bootle and is now a member at West Lancashire, arrived on the golf scene when she became the youngest player to win the Merseyside Ladies Municipal Championship three years ago at Allerton at the age of 14.
Not surprisingly, she rates that as the highlight of her career so far. But now the presentation of the Geoff Roberts Trophy by the Southport and District Golf Association is also at the top of her list.
The award was originally set up by the Old Boys ...
