MUSCAT, Jan 15 Asia Pulse - Oman's authorities are laying the groundwork for the development of what promises to be one of the country's biggest economic initiatives an ambitious Industrial Area and Free Trade Zone (FTZ) complex centring around the Duqm Port and Dry Dock project under development in the Al Wusta region, the Ministry of Information announced.

According to officials, the proposed venture has the potential to emerge as a world-scale hub for mega-industries, as well as a wide range of large and medium scale enterprises, Oman Daily Observer reported today.
