In the Yeoman family, Dad fishes his longliner for halibut in the Gulf of Alaska and Mom is one of the longtime brokers at the Auction Block--a Homer-based fishermen's marketing venue. So it may be no surprise that mom Jessica devised a halibut sandwich compatible with the whole crew. In this case the Homer-based crew includes dad Jeffrey and two daughters, Josie and Mari.

Jessica suggests that if the "kids are all about the crispy bread crumbs" that coat the fillets but turn up their noses at some the spices, set up the marinade with a partial list of ingredients and remove the kids' portions before adding the spices.
