THE Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraising Group in Banbridge raised a magnificent [pounds sterling]46,500 in 2007 to help local people affected by cancer.
They collected on the streets, Tesco's, held a dog show, car boot sale and coffee morning. They also raffled Easter Eggs, sold reindeer dust and collected cheques.
By doing this they raised the profile and awareness of Macmillan throughout the Banbridge district.
Macmillan would like to thank this hard working and dedicated group. Their thanks is also extended to everyone in Banbridge and the surrounding area who contributed to this fantastic total.
