Jay L. Johnsen of rural St. Charles Funeral services for Jay L. Johnsen, 84, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Conley Funeral Home, 116 W. Pierce St., Elburn. Jay's son, Steven Johnsen, pastor of the Denver Inner City Parish, will officiate and interment will follow in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield Road, Campton Township. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 15, at the funeral home. Born Nov. 23, 1923, in Geneva, Ill., the son of Jens and Anna Christine (nee Johansen) Johnsen, he passed away at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, after a long and courageous battle with declining health.
