SUTTON Sting U12s have achieved a tremendous minimum third place in the league after a superb 4-2 at home to Grimsby.

All three lines worked very hard and scorers were Jacob Flowers, with the first goal unassisted to bring the game back to 1-1, followed by goals from J.K. Smith, man of the match Adam Riley and Lawson Glasby.

Third would be a fantastic achievement though there is still a chance they could finish second.

The U10s were at home to Nottingham Pumas and after a crushing 49-0 defeat in their first league match against them, the youngest Stings proved that they had come a long way with a much-reduced 23-0 win Pumas.
